Douglas E. Davidson, JD ’71, is a partner in Morgan Lewis & Bockius’s business and finance practice in New York City.  He has been an active GW Law alumnus, and for several years he chaired the Law School Dean’s Advisory Board.  Doug and his wife Sandy have established a charitable gift annuity to support a scholarship fund that reduces the financial burden GW Law students carry after graduation.  The Davidsons benefit from the charitable gift annuity because it provides them a guaranteed life income, some of it tax-free; an immediate charitable income-tax deduction; some savings on capital-gain tax; and potential estate-tax savings.  Doug observed, “I strongly believe that it’s important for alumni to recognize the opportunities GW Law has given them and to give back in whatever way they can.”
