Brian G. Brunsvold, JD ’67, retired as a partner at Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner LLP. Before retirement, he handled licensing and patent infringement cases before federal district courts and the ITC. Brian and his wife Chica have established a deferred charitable gift annuity through GW Law. They receive a fixed lifetime income stream, experience an immediate income-tax charitable deduction, and will reduce and defer recognition of capital gain. Brian said, “The capital-gain taxes on the stock that I gave to GW Law would have been very high. With a charitable gift annuity, I will be able to draw an income from the stock and help make a difference in the lives of future students.”
